SAN ANGELO, TX – Gubernatorial Candidate Robert O'Rourke will be coming back to San Angelo in August during his most recent tour across Texas.
O'Rourke has been in San Angelo a number of times during his several losing campaigns for public office. This stop will be during his "A Drive for Texas" tour. O'Rourke's tour will be 49 days long, and he will visit over 75 communities, and travel over 5,600 miles.
During this tour his website claims that they will be traveling the state in hopes of beating the 'terrible and tyrannical' Greg Abbott.
"While the race further tightens and Abbott becomes even more unpopular thanks to his dangerous and extreme agenda," states ORourke's Website. "(he) will unite Texans around the popular things that Democrats, Republicans and independents want to accomplish together: creating great jobs, investing in world-class schools, expanding health care so more people can see a doctor and lowering costs so families can afford to live in this state."
During O'Rourke's last stop in San Angelo he packed the local VFW hall with curious and eccentric individuals looking to find their savior. Democrats were not the only ones in the room that day. One conservative man was given the mic to ask a question. Listen to the video below.
Just a few short weeks after this meeting it was learned that George Soros in fact did donate over a million dollars to the O'Rourke Campaign. For the original article see:
Chances are O'Rourke and his team will not be going back to the VFW after that. In fact this time they will be holding the meeting at the Bridge Connection located at 1100 Martin Luther King Dr. This place is used as a church meeting location for the Ministerial alliance.
O'Rourke's event will be on Aug for 16. It will start at 5:30 p.m. and will be over within the hour.
