Former Police Chief & Justice of the Peace Russell Smith Endorses Tom Daniel for JP

SAN ANGELO – Former San Angelo Police Chief Russell Smith, who also served as two terms as Tom Green County Justice of the Peace for Pct. 2, has endorsed Tom Daniel for Justice of the Peace.

The following is Smith's letter to San Angelo LIVE!:

"To whom it may concern,

I am writing to offer my enthusiastic endorsement of Tom Daniel for Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.

In his career of over thirty years, Tom Daniel has proven himself to be a dedicated public servant.

He will make an outstanding Justice of the Peace.

I was the Chief of Police when Tom was first hired on at SAPD. I know his character, his work ethic and his capabilities first hand.

From 2003 to 2011 I served as the JP for Precinct 2. I know what the people need, expect and deserve from the person in that role.

It’s a perfect match.

I encourage you to get out and vote, and elect Tom as our next JP!"

-Russell Smith, Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 (2003-2011), SAPD Police Chief, (Retired), Author.
