SAN ANGELO – Former Mayor of San Angelo Dwain Morrison has endorsed Lori Wilson for Tom Green County Commissioner Pct. 4.
Below is Morrison's endorsement letter of Wilson exclusive to San Angelo LIVE!:
"I am Dwain Morrison and I am writing to give my exclusive endorsement to Lori Wilson as the next Tom Green County Commissioner of Precinct 4.
I served San Angelo as an elected official for 14 years, first on the City Council representing SMD 2 for 10 years, then serving as Mayor of San Angelo for 4 years.
This experience has confirmed my belief that it takes a certain type of person with certain skills and qualities to be successful in elected positions and properly represent the people that put them there.
Lori Wilson has the experience, wisdom and skill set to lead Tom Green County through the changes and challenges ahead. She has been attending court meetings since 2017 preparing for this job. Lori Wilson has learned how the court operates. She has been through several budget cycles, tax rate hearings, salary grievance hearings, and now, census hearings. She has already built relationships with several department heads and elected officials.
The appropriate choice for Tom Green County Commissioner Precinct 4 is Lori Wilson. She is driven, focused, extremely intelligent, honest, and truly wants to be a voice for the people.
Several candidates in several local races have asked for my endorsement but the only candidate I will publicly put my name and reputation behind is Lori Wilson."
Respectfully,
Dwain Morrison
