AUSTIN –– As his campaign for re-election as Attorney General continues to gain momentum ahead of Primary Day, Ken Paxton received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF). Attorney General Paxton was awarded the highest attainable “A+” rating from the NRA, which is reserved for elected officials who have a proven record of leadership in the fight to promote and defend the right to keep and bear arms.
“Ken Paxton has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to safeguarding the constitutional rights of all law-abiding Texans through his active role in Second Amendment litigation," said Jason Ouimet, NRA-PVF chairman.
"He's constantly battling on the frontlines and in trenches of the battle to protect Texans' Second Amendment rights. We encourage all Texas NRA members, supporters, gun owners, and sportsmen to vote Ken Paxton for Attorney General in the March 1 primary election," Ouimet concluded.

Upon their endorsement, the NRA released the following summary of Attorney General Paxton's efforts to defend our Second Amendment Rights:
"Under Paxton's direction, Texas has led or joined a number of coalitions of state attorneys general in filing "friend of the court" briefs supporting the Second Amendment in numerous landmark court cases, including New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. This case before the United States Supreme Court seeks to protect the right to carry a firearm for self-defense outside the home. His office has also defended Texas' campus carry law, enforced Texas' state firearms preemption statute and issued an opinion preventing local officials from abusing COVID disaster declarations to close gun stores."
