Karen Hesse-Smith Wins Special Election for San Angelo City Council

 

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Single Member District 5 voters have spoken; Karen Hesse-Smith will represent the District on the City Council after she easily won the special election Saturday.  

Hesse-Smith won 52.01% to 36.7% for John Austin Stokes who finished a distant second.

Hesse-Smith visited San Angelo Live and sat down with Yantis Green at the Political Desk.  Here's that interview.  

The San Angelo City Council will canvass the results and then Hesse-Smith will be sworn in as SMD-5 city council representative.  The unexpired term runs though May of 2023.
