Watch: Sanctuary City for the Unborn Founder Roasted on Comedy Central

SAN ANGELO, TX –– Over the past few months, Mark Lee Dickson has become a well-known figure in the San Angelo community.

As the director for Right to Life of East Texas and founder of Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn, Dickson has been instrumental in the local effort to make San Angelo a sanctuary city –– even speaking at city council meetings.

Earlier this week, Dickson appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on Comedy Central with correspondent Desi Lydic in a segment concerning the Texas SB8 bill.

"Despite our very differing views, I am glad Trevor Noah and Desi Lydic were born and are a part of this world in which we all live," said Dickson in a Facebook statement. "There is a good reason why abortion is not funny. I'm so thankful our Senators and Representatives in Texas brought forth a bill like SB 8. Texas needed it. America needed it."

During the interview, Dickson defended his position and explained why allowing citizens to sue those who aid a woman who gets an abortion was not a way to get around the constitution and made other interesting points.
