Gov. Abbott to Allow Vets to Purchase the Devil's Lettuce

 

AUSTIN, TX – Governor Greg Abbott announced Friday that he will sign House Bill 1535 allowing veterans with PTSD to purchase legal weed.

According to Governor Greg Abbott, on June 11, he will sign House Bill 1535 once it is on his desk.

HB1535 will allow veterans with PTSD to purchase medical marijuana that is grown in Texas. The refer that is grown has a very low THC level.

The bill was filed on Mar. 8 and was passed by the Texas Senate on May 25. 

There are currently around 6,000 citizens enrolled in the program.
