SAN ANGELO, TX – Early Voting turnout in Tom Green County remains low as only 2.22 percent of registered voters have cast ballots as of Monday morning.
According to Tom Green County Elections Administrator Vona Hudson, as of Apr. 26 at 10 a.m., 1,561 voters have cast ballots in the Keys building.
In the last election there were 70,055 registered voters in Tom Green County. If that number stays the same then only a little over two percent of voters have cast ballots this year during early voting.
In 2018, the last mayoral election, there was 3,130 votes cast during early voting. The total votes cast in that election was 7,045. That number is much higher that the current election.
Tuesday, Apr. 27, is the last day to vote early and election day is May 1. In this election there will be multiple seats in the city council and school board up for grabs. It will also decide who will be the next Mayor of San Angelo.
To cast a ballot, visit the Election's Office in the Judge Edd B. Keyes Building today and tomorrow 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voting is a joke..... Whoever has the most money and the right person to give it to will win because votes will be changed, deleted or added in their favor..... Happens nationwide as has been proved with who's in the Whitehouse today..... No thanks to participating in that circus just like no thanks to the Covid vaccine that has Bill Gates computer tracking chip in it........

PermalinkIt makes sense that Republicans across the USA are trying to make voting harder for everyone! I get it now. We are at 2.2%, And if they make it hard enough they should be able to keep winning elections!! Get it down to 1%, ya'll!!

PermalinkIt’s complacency, plain and simple. People are just lazy. The laws here haven’t changed. But laziness has increased along with the whining. Get off your butts and do something.
