SAN ANGELO, TX – Earlier this week Governor Greg Abbott announced a series of appointments to the Upper Colorado River Authority Board of Directors. The announcement included several local names.
Leslie Lasater, of San Angelo, was appointed to her first term. She is a realtor with ERA Newlin and Company and owner of Company Printing. Lasater is a member of the San Anglo Association of Realtors, Texas Real Estate Commission, National Federation of Independent Businesses.
Reese Braswell, of Bronte, and Erica Hall, of Abilene, were reappointed to the UCRA Board of Directors for a new term.
Braswell is the branch manager and the compliance officer at First National Bank of Sterling City. He also serves as the president and treasurer of the Bronte 4B Economic Development Corp.
Hall is the owner of the Law Office of Erica E. Hall, PLLC, and a member of the Texas Bar Foundation and State Bar of Texas. She is a member of the National Center for Children’s Literature Board of Directors and Beyond the Bench-Taylor County.
The board will also welcome a new chairman of the board, Nancy Blackwell of Ballinger. Blackwell is a principal with AEI Engineering, a Baxter & Woodman company. She currently serves on the Texas Engineering Foundation and the National MATHCOUNTS Foundation boards. In the past, she served as the president of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
All four individuals will serve until February 1, 2027.
Since its inception in 1935, the UCRA has worked to protect the watershed of Coke, Concho, Crockett, Glasscock, Irion, Menard, Mitchell, Nolan, Reagan, Runnels, Schleicher, Sterling, Taylor, and Tom Green counties.
