WATCH: Law Makers Grill Energy Leaders Over Electric Grid Failure

AUSTIN, TX -- As Texans continue grappling with the aftermath of the winter storm, they are demanding answers from ERCOT and all agencies that allowed millions to spend days without power.

In response, the Texas House of Representatives is holding a joint session with the committees on State Affairs and Energy Resources to find those answers.

The committees will meet to discuss the recent power outages, contributing factors, and subsequent responses. Representative Drew Darby is a member of the Energy Resources Committee.

"As a member of Energy Resources, it is important to me to hear from you about the impact the power outages had on you and your families," said Darby in a statement. "This hearing is the first of many steps in identifying the problems so we can ensure they never happen again."
