New Tom Green County Sheriff is Sworn in New Years at 1 p.m.

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Nick Hanna will swear-in as the Tom Green County Sheriff New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2021, at in the Commissioners' Court chambers inside the Keyes Building in downtown San Angelo. The event is by invitation only due to COVID-19. This ceremony was re-scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday due to inclement weather anticipated in the morning.

Immediately afterwards, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Sheriff Hanna will swear in members of his new staff on the south side of the Tom Green County Courthouse. This outdoor event is open to the public.

Hanna nominated retired Texas DPS lieutenant Roger Looka to take the reins as the Sheriff's Chief Deputy who will officially take office during the 1:15 p.m. ceremony in front of the courthouse.
