Texas Toasted: Supreme Court Dismissed GOP Election Challenge

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Supreme Court late Friday rejected the State of Texas lawsuit challenging election results in four states. practically eliminating President Trump's chances of proving fraud in the 2020 election and securing Joe Biden's election win.

Here is the text of the High Court's decision:

"The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot."

Statement of Justice Alito, with whom Justice Thomas joins: In my view, we do not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. See Arizona v. California, 589 U. S. ___
(Feb. 24, 2020) (Thomas, J., dissenting). I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.

Update Dec. 11, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. Texas AG Ken Paxton responded.

"It is unfortunate that the Supreme Court decided not to take this case and determine the constitutionality of these four states’ failure to follow federal and state election law. I will continue to tirelessly defend the integrity and security of our elections and hold accountable those who shirk established election law for their own convenience.

"Attorney General Paxton filed an original lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday, December 7, arguing that the Supreme Court must require the four defendant-states to conduct their elections in a manner that complies with the Constitution and all federal and state laws. Texas was joined by nearly half the union," Paxton said in a statement at 7:02 p.m. Friday.

Electors across the country are set to cast their votes Monday validating the win for Biden.  The 2020 election seems to have further divided an already tense national dichotomy; mainstream media and late night talk show hosts continue to support an agenda that promotes the socialist, liberal agenda while conservative talk show hosts, elected officials and approximately 70 million Americans support freedom and democracy.

There hasn't been a such a hotly contested Presidential election since 2000 when Republican George W. Bush and Democrat Al Gore's election boiled down to Florida and was ultimately decided by the Supreme Court.

Both sides have stated a desire for a peaceful transfer of power amid the worst pandemic the country has ever known.
