August Pfluger Welcomes President Trump to West Texas

MIDLAND, TX – Native San Angeloan and Republican candidate for Congress, CD-11 August Pfluger was one of the first people to greet President Donald Trump as he landed on Air Force One in an historic visit to Midland Wednesday.

San Angelo LIVE! talked with Pfluger Wednesday evening.

Pfluger said, "I wish you could've seen the thousands of people, parents and children who lined the streets in Midland and Odessa to honor the President of the United States. They were there not [there] for an hour or two, but for four or five hours in the west Texas heat just to honor the President."

"The historic visit is huge for the Permian Basin and CD-11."  "I really appreciated President Trump's remarks at the Double Eagle rig." " The President understands the importance of the energy industry."  "I spent some time today with Rick Perry (former Texas Governor & Trump Energy Secretary), Allen West (Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas), and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.  We were thrilled at this historic visit by the President and how significant the energy industry is to the country."

CD-11 stretches from Granbury in Hood County just south of Ft. Worth west to the New Mexican Border in Andrews County including the cities of San Angelo, Midland and Odessa.

Republican congressional nominee Lt. Col. August Pfluger (R-San Angelo) welcomed President Donald Trump to Texas where the two discussed the importance of the Permian Basin to America’s national energy strategy.

“I was honored to welcome President Donald Trump to Texas and speak with him about the oil and gas, agriculture, and national defense industries that are so critical to Texas’ 11th Congressional District,” said Pfluger. “The President’s visit to our community is not only historic, it signals his strong commitment to promoting American energy independence and showcases the importance of the Permian Basin in securing our nation’s long-term strategic future. I look forward to helping Trump win in November and working with the President to enact his America First agenda in Congress.”

Lt. Colonel August Pfluger is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a decorated fighter pilot with over 300 hours of direct combat against radical jihadists in the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Until launching his campaign in September, August served as a member of President Donald J. Trump’s National Security Council staff, where he was entrusted with our nation’s highest security clearance and charged with advising President Trump on a host of foreign and domestic threats to our nation’s security.

Yantis, how about doing a little research about Pflueger's permanent residence...and how often he's actually participated in past elections as a voter.
You might be surprised to learn his primary residence is in Virginia...NOT TEXAS...
and that his pattern as a voter is very disappointing...like, he really doesn't have the time to participate unless there's an upside to him i.e. winning an election and enjoying the many bene's of being a congressman. Already showing his true colors!
