Kanye West Announces 2020 Presidential Bid

SAN ANGELO, TX -- With only 120 days to go until the 2020 presidential election, Kanye West announced he will be throwing his hat into the ring.

According to KTXS, on Saturday afternoon Kanye announced his bid on Twitter with the following tweet:

"We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION."

If Kanye West actually plans to run for president he would have to run as an independent. He would also require signatures to get his name on the November ballot.

Kanye would be ineligible to run for president in Maine, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, and Texas -- since the deadline to file has passed. Voters could theoretically write-in the rapper on their ballot.

Kayne West has expressed his support for Trump, so it is unclear as to why he would consider running against him in the upcoming election.

.... is a egotistical joker and not Presidential material. He's barely a Musician... LMBO! Besides... remember four years ago he made a statement he would leave the United States if Trump was elected president.
Hope he stays out of the political picture!

It is unlikely that he will be on the ballot. This appears to be a PR stunt because only a fool would take him seriously then OTOH Trump got elected.
