SAN ANGELO, TX – The Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas visited with San Angelo party activists and GOP candidates Thursday evening at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts.
James Dickey told the local republicans the 2020 election in Texas will be a tough one because Democrats are attempting to turn the state blue.
Watch video of Chairman Dickey:
Many candidates running in the March Republican primary were in attendance.
Former San Angelo Mayor J.W. Lown was there. He is running for Congress as a Republican in CD-23 along the Texas Mexico border. Congressman Will Hurd, the incumbent Republican, announced he was not seeking re-election.
Dickey told the crowd that the Democrats and the media are working together to defeat President Donald Trump and secure Texas' 38 electoral votes for the eventual Democrat nominee for President.
Democrats are attempting to build on momentum from the 2018 election cycle in which Beto O'Rourke ran against incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz and barely lost. O'Rourke's success aided Democrats in defeating several Texas Court of Criminal Appeals incumbent Republicans.
The primary is March 3,2020 in Texas.

"JW" has some nerve showing his face after leaving the way he did. He needs to be investigated to see if he knew about the status of his now husband. It's illegal to harbor an illegal immigrant. Where is the outrage??
