EL PASO, TX -- Democratic Congressman Beto O'Rourke of El Paso brings his campaign for U.S. Senate back to San Angelo Thursday, Aug. 2 as part of a statewide campaign swing and the event will be crowded.
According to O'Rourke's campaign, Beers with Beto is scheduled for Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Concho Pearl Ice House at 1605 S. Chadbourne St.
The website lists 184 people already registered to attend the event.
With a kickoff event in El Paso Sunday, O’Rourke launched a 34-day drive across the state in which he will spend the entire month of August on the road returning to every part of Texas.
He will host nearly 100 events including town halls, rallies and roundtables in over 50 cities. The trip follows his visit to all 254 counties.
While returning to each of the major cities, O’Rourke will also continue holding town halls in smaller communities across the state -- visiting places like Iraan, Goliad, Johnson City, Edna and Horseshoe Bay.
O'Rourke is challenging republican incumbent U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. The two candidates have agreed to a series of five debates before the November midterm election.
