Abilene's Mayor Pro-Tem Filing Candidacy for Mayor

ABILENE, TX – Anthony Williams, Chief Business Services Officer at ACU, and current Mayor Pro-Tem of Abilene, is officially filing his candidacy for Mayor today.

Williams is excited about this opportunity saying, “This is a very exciting day for me and my family. Up until this point I knew I was running for Mayor, but this action just makes it official and real.” Williams added, “I know I am ready to serve Abilene in a higher capacity and it is my hope that Abilene is ready for me.”

Williams will be officially filing his candidacy after today’s State of City Address at Abilene City Hall located at 555 Walnut Street.
