Voting results are coming in, and for those citizens worried San Angelo would go from on elected to an appointed chief, they can breath a sigh of relief. As of 7 p.m., 73 percent of voters voted against Proposition 8 and 27 percent voted for it. Early votes came in at 2,637, and out of that number 716 said yes while 1,921 voted no. Also, City Council Members will be seeing a compensation increase. For Proposition 5, 1,385 voted in favor while 1,244 voted against it.
In the Winters School District Board of Trustees race, Mark Sklenarik has 12 out of the 18 votes.

At this time, Proposition 5 is still winning 53 to 40 percent, and Proposition 8 is still losing 27 to 73 percent.
