City Avoids Disrupting Medical Clinic Water Service to Fix Water Main Downtown

The City of San Angelo Water Department was busy Tuesday afternoon working on a water main leak near Shannon Medical Center, between the Shannon Clinic and the Shannon Women and Children’s Hospital.

Water was pulsating out of a hole as city work crews used pumps to clear the water out of the hole

According to City of San Angelo Public Information Officer Anthony Wilson, the crews were cutting into a valve in preparation for making a repair after 5 p.m. to a six-inch water main. The crews were avoiding the need to disrupt water service to the clinic during its normal business hours.
