City Mapping Service Offline Through Friday

The online mapping system administered by the City of San Angelo’s Geographic Information Systems Division is scheduled to be inoperable from Tuesday, Jan. 6, through Friday, Jan. 9, to accommodate computer server upgrades.

The mapping system can be accessed at http://gis.sanangelotexas.us/ or from the GIS page or the online services link on the City’s website at cosatx.us.

The GIS Division gathers and analyzes data that assists other City operations – ranging from Development Services to first-responders – with decision-making. Citizens commonly use the GIS mapping system to view aerial images and to determine a specific property’s dimensions, zoning, ownership, tax records, the locations of water and sewer lines, and the City Council district in which the property lies. The system is free to the public to use.
