Temporary public toilets have been placed in The Bosque along the Concho River walk as repairs are made to the permanent facilities.
The temporary toilets, one of which is wheelchair accessible, are expected to be used for approximately two months. During that time, repairs will be made to a sewer lift station that suffered a recent failure. A lift station moves wastewater from lower to higher elevations. City staff is crafting a plan to remedy the station’s issues.
The permanent restrooms are anticipated to be operational by the second annual River Fest on Sept. 19-20.
The Bosque is the games court area adjacent to the Irving Street low-water crossing. It includes washer-pitching pits, a bocce ball court, an oversized chess board, barbecue pits and public art.
