City/County to Hold Immunization Clinics for Back to School

The City of San Angelo/Tom Green County Health Department will offer three additional immunization clinics in August for children needing back-to-school vaccinations.

The additional clinics will be from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on three successive Fridays: Aug. 8, 15 and 22. The Health Department, located in Suite 8 at 2030 Pulliam St., also offers immunization clinics during those same hours each Tuesday

Families must provide immunization records before a child can receive an injection. Children (age 18 and younger) are eligible for the Health Department’s immunization clinic if they have no health insurance coverage or currently are covered under Medicaid. Adults (age 19 and older) can be served during the immunization clinic if they have no insurance coverage.

The cost of the immunization clinics is $22 per child per visit, meaning a child can receive multiple vaccinations during the same visit for a total cost of $22. The cost for adults is $22 per inoculation.
