WATCH: Record Largemouth Bass Caught in Lake Ivie

BALLINGER, TX – In the video above, posted on Feb. 24, angler Josh Jones showed off the catch of a life time.

Jones has caught a number of large bass in his life and was the first angler to submit 4 Legacy Class Sharelunkers to the Texas Parks and Wildlife's Sharelunker program. Despite his recent success on Ivie, Jones did not catch the record fish.

Instead his good friend, Brodey Davis, and his son caught the monster.

"One of my great friends Brodey just caught the largest bass I have ever seen. 17.06 pounds and unofficially the 7th largest bass of all time in Texas history," stated Jones. "I’m glad I got to be a part of it going down. The excitement is unparalleled."

Davis' fish weighed in at a whopping 17.06 lbs. This is the largest fish ever caught on O.H. Ivie.
