Robert Lee Fisherman Catches Most Recent ShareLunker at Lake Ivie

SAN ANGELO, TX — Robert Lee’s Brandon Soliz caught an 11.88-pound bass on Feb. 4 at O.H. Ivie Reservoir, marking the fifth ShareLunker that has been pulled from the lake in 2026.

While Ivie, located about 55 miles east of San Angelo, has led the state in producing ShareLunkers in recent years, a new frontrunner has emerged this year — Lake J.B. Thomas.

The lake that sits roughly between Snyder and Big Spring has had a whopping 41 sharelunkers caught this year out of the 75 statewide.

Ivie has had a relatively slow start to the year, though it has the second-biggest bass caught so far, a 13.75-pounder by Trinity’s Charles Roberts on Jan. 20.

The biggest bass caught weighed 14.74 pounds and was hooked at Lake Alan Henry between Post and Snyder by Post’s Ross Gomez on Jan. 22.

The only other San Angelo-area lake to produce a ShareLunker this year is Oak Creek Lake in Blackwell, where San Angelo’s Scott Boren caught a 10.28-pounder on Feb. 6.

A little farther out in the area, Lake Brownwood, about 100 miles east of San Angelo, has had two ShareLunkers.
