Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for San Angelo and Surrounding Areas

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Tom Green County and surrounding areas, in effect from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The watch includes five counties in West Central Texas: Crockett, Irion, Schleicher, Sutton, and Tom Green.

Cities under the watch include San Angelo, Arden, Barnhart, Carlsbad, Eldorado, Mertzon, Ozona, Sherwood, Sonora, and Wall.

The watch, labeled No. 338 by the National Weather Service, indicates conditions are favorable for the development of severe storms that could produce damaging winds, large hail, and possibly isolated tornadoes.
