SAN ANGELO, TX – West Central Texas will experience spring-like temperatures this week, with highs reaching the upper 70s and 80s across the region.
The National Weather Service predicts near-record warmth, with the hottest day expected on Monday.
San Angelo is forecast to hit 80°F on Sunday and 85°F on Monday, potentially breaking the 82°F record set in 2021. Abilene could see temperatures climb to 87°F, surpassing its previous record of 82°F from 1976.
Today, the forecast calls for breezy south-southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, with higher gusts accompanying the warm weather. Skies will remain mostly sunny, making for conditions more typical of late spring than early February.
The warm trend is expected to continue through the week, with highs staying above normal.
