SAN ANGELO, TX — A cold weather advisory remains in effect for West Central Texas, with wind chills dropping as low as 2 degrees above zero early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory extends until 9 a.m. Tuesday, as residents brace for one of the coldest days this winter season.
Bitterly cold conditions will persist throughout the day, with highs struggling to reach the mid-30s. North winds of 10 to 20 mph in the morning, tapering to 5 to 10 mph by afternoon, will amplify the frigid feel.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to warm gradually, with highs climbing into the 50s and 60s by the weekend. However, another weak cold front on Sunday could bring slightly cooler weather early next week.
