Mild Weather Welcomes New Year in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Concho Valley is starting the new year with seasonably mild weather, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

Highs on New Year’s Day will range from the lower 50s in the northern part of the area to near 60 in southern regions. The day is expected to remain mostly sunny with a few clouds.

Winds will shift from northeast to east at 5-10 mph, becoming southeast by evening. Overnight lows will bring a chilly reminder of the season, with temperatures dipping into the low 30s.

Above-normal high temperatures are forecast to continue through the rest of the week. San Angelo can expect daytime highs to climb into the upper 60s and low 70s by the weekend. 

A strong cold front is projected to arrive Sunday night, bringing a drop in temperatures by early next week.
