Christmas Day Brings Mild Temps, Clear Afternoon

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — West Central Texans woke up to cloudy skies this Christmas morning, but a pleasant afternoon is on the horizon, with temperatures climbing into the 60s across the region.

The National Weather Service predicts light winds and clearing skies later in the day. 

Highs in San Angelo are expected to reach 63°F, with similar conditions in neighboring towns like Ballinger at 62°F and Junction at 68°F. A warming trend is forecast for the rest of the week, with temperatures gradually increasing into the 70s and low 80s by the weekend.

The extended forecast indicates mostly dry conditions through Monday, with only a slight chance of rain, primarily affecting areas east of a Rotan-to-Junction line on Thursday.

By Sunday and Monday, highs in San Angelo could peak at 80°F, ahead of a cold front expected to bring cooler weather by midweek.
