SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo State Park officials announced the closure of park offices for Thanksgiving starting at noon Wednesday, Nov. 27, through 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29.
During this time, visitors are encouraged to use the self-pay station or reserve day passes online.
Additionally, certain areas of the park will experience temporary closures for hunting. From 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, to 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, all trails north of the Burkett Trailhead, along with the Bald Eagle and North Concho camping areas, will be off-limits. Only permitted hunters will have access to these sections during the closure.
