SAN ANGELO, TX – After a frosty start Thursday morning, residents in West-Central Texas can expect a warm-up heading into the weekend, with highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.
San Angelo is forecast to see a high of 72°F on Friday, rising to 76°F on Saturday and 80°F on Sunday, with sunny skies throughout the weekend. Overnight lows will remain cool, dipping into the upper 30s and low 40s before gradually warming to the 50s by Sunday night.
Brownwood is expected to have one of the warmest weekends in the region, with temperatures climbing to 83°F by Sunday. Junction is also forecast to hit 83°F over the weekend. Meanwhile, cooler nights will persist across the region, with lows ranging from the mid-30s to mid-40s.
The National Weather Service noted that this warming trend is expected to last through Sunday, followed by a weak cold front early next week that will bring slightly cooler conditions.
Winds will remain light, predominantly from the southwest at 5-10 mph during the day. Thursday’s high for San Angelo is near 69°F, with calm conditions and sunny skies.
