Farmers’ Almanacs Predict Thanksgiving 2024 Weather for Texas

SAN ANGELO, TX - Thanksgiving travelers can expect a mix of rain, snow, and mild temperatures across the United States as detailed in the latest weather predictions from both the Farmers’ Almanac and Old Farmer’s Almanac.

In Texas, forecasts vary widely. According to the Farmers’ Almanac, most of Texas is placed in Zone 5, expecting rain and snow with a sharp drop in temperatures.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac highlights regional differences within the state: far western Texas, including El Paso, may see cool to mild weather, while West Texas, including the panhandle, could be colder than average. The southern portion of Texas is forecasted to experience warmer-than-normal temperatures with possible showers.

The northeastern U.S. is set to face significant Thanksgiving travel disruptions, with storms hugging the Atlantic coast and increasing winds and precipitation. Similarly, the southeastern U.S. can expect stormy weather along the Atlantic seaboard. Meanwhile, the central U.S. should enjoy sunny conditions with above-average warmth, stretching from the Upper Midwest down to Texas and Oklahoma, though showers are possible in the South.

These predictions come as the region braces for a La Niña winter, where Farmers’ Almanac expects wetter-than-normal conditions, diverging from Old Farmer’s Almanac’s forecast of a dry but mild winter in Texas.
