Cold Front Brings Mild Temps to San Angelo Area

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - A weak cold front moving through San Angelo and surrounding areas on Wednesday is bringing slightly cooler temperatures, with highs expected to remain primarily in the 70s through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The high for Wednesday is projected near 73 degrees, with northwest winds between 10 and 20 mph and gusts up to 25 mph, providing a noticeable drop from recent warmer conditions.

Temperatures overnight are forecast to dip to around 42 degrees, with calmer winds shifting northward.

The cooler trend will continue Thursday, with a high near 74 and calm winds expected to shift southward by the afternoon. Friday’s high will warm slightly to 76 degrees, with south winds at 5 to 10 mph, gusting up to 20 mph.

As the weekend approaches, highs are predicted to stay in the mid to upper 70s, and lows will range from the low 40s to the mid-50s. No rain is expected until late Sunday when a new upper-level storm system is anticipated to bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
