SAN ANGELO, TX — Temperatures in San Angelo and surrounding areas are expected to cool down this week, with isolated showers and a greater chance of rain moving in toward the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Today, skies will clear by the afternoon, bringing sunny conditions with highs in the mid-60s to lower 70s. Winds will blow from the northwest at speeds between 10 to 15 mph.
Overnight, temperatures will drop to the mid-40s to mid-50s under mostly clear skies, with light winds from the south at 5 to 10 mph.
Rain chances are projected to increase Wednesday night, peaking Thursday through Saturday, when some areas could see precipitation. Cooler temperatures will accompany the rain, with highs ranging from the mid-60s to lower 70s. By early next week, conditions are expected to turn drier and slightly warmer.
