SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo State Park is welcoming visitors this November with a lineup of community events, guided hikes, and nature programs, including free park entry for State Parks Day on Nov. 3.
The activities are open to all ages and aim to foster community involvement and awareness of local natural resources.
Visitors can participate in a Volunteer Workday on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Burkett Trailhead, where participants will assist in cleanup efforts around the park. On Nov. 9, “Coffee with a Ranger” offers guests a chance to enjoy a morning coffee while learning about park management and wildlife conservation from a park ranger at the Chaparral Pavilion from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The park will also host multiple guided hikes throughout the month, including a “Full Moon Hike” on Nov. 15, giving attendees a rare opportunity to experience the park after dark.
