Rain Chances Increase Late This Week as Cooler Weather Moves In

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Rain chances return to the region later this week, with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms expected on Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

The likelihood of rain will increase to 30% Friday night and reach 40% by Saturday, bringing some much-needed moisture to the area.

Temperatures will cool off midweek, with highs dropping to the upper 70s to low 80s starting Wednesday. San Angelo is forecast to see a high of 77°F on Wednesday, down from the 90°F expected Monday and Tuesday. Nighttime lows will fall to the 50s, with a low of 56°F expected Tuesday night.

Mostly sunny skies will dominate until Friday, with winds gusting up to 20 mph at times. The weekend will remain mostly cloudy with scattered showers, as highs hover around the low 80s and lows dip into the upper 50s.

Rain chances are expected to taper off by Sunday, with a 20% chance of showers and highs near 79°F.
