SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service (NWS) Abilene/San Angelo released a forecast this morning indicating hotter temperatures and breezy conditions for the area.
Low cloudiness is observed over much of the region south of I-20. This is expected to dissipate by midday, resulting in mostly sunny skies this afternoon.
Temperatures will rise slightly compared to yesterday, with high temperatures in San Angelo and Abilene reaching the upper 90s. Breezy south winds are expected, ranging from 10 to 20 mph.
The extended forecast shows consistent heat throughout the week. Highs are projected to climb to around 104 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, with morning lows in the mid to upper 70s. Breezy conditions will persist, with south winds increasing to 25 mph by Thursday.
Friday and Saturday will see temperatures similar to earlier in the week, with highs peaking around 106 degrees. Slight chances of thunderstorms are predicted for Saturday, primarily east of an Abilene to Junction line. The weekend will continue with partly cloudy skies and persistent southeast winds of 5 to 10 mph.
