Weekend Forecast: Warm and Partly Cloudy with Increasing Rain Chances

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Residents can expect warm and partly cloudy conditions today, with high temperatures primarily in the 90s, according to the National Weather Service. 

Light winds from the east to southeast will accompany the weather. San Angelo is forecasted to reach a high of 97 degrees.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy, with lows dropping to the upper 60s to lower 70s. Southeast winds will blow at 5 to 10 mph.

Extended Forecast:

Saturday will see partly cloudy skies with morning lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s and afternoon highs ranging from the mid-90s to 100 degrees. There is a minimal chance for showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, with southeast winds at 5 to 15 mph.

On Sunday, numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected, with locally heavy rainfall possible. Morning lows will be in the lower 70s, with afternoon highs in the 80s to lower 90s. Winds will be light and variable.

Monday brings more rain with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely, and heavy rainfall possible. Expect morning lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Northeast winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday and Wednesday will see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with minimal impacts expected. Morning lows will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s, and afternoon highs will range from the mid-80s to mid-90s.

Rain and Temperature Outlook:

An upper trough combined with a weak cold front on Sunday into Monday will increase the chances of thunderstorms next week, with locally heavy rainfall expected from Sunday through Wednesday.

The temperature outlook shows a trend of cooler temperatures along with increasing rain chances from Sunday through much of next week. Abilene and San Angelo will experience slightly below normal temperatures today and Saturday, with normal highs of 97 and 98 degrees respectively.
