SAN ANGELO, TX — According to information from the National Weather Service, scattered to widespread thunderstorms are anticipated throughout the day and night today.
The affected areas include Fisher, Nolan, Sterling, Coke, Runnels, Irion, Tom Green, Concho, Crockett, Schleicher, Sutton, Haskell, Throckmorton, Jones, Shackelford, Taylor, Callahan, Coleman, Brown, McCulloch, San Saba, Menard, Kimble, and Mason counties.
Severe storms may develop this afternoon and evening, particularly south of a line extending from San Angelo to Brownwood.
The primary threats include large hail, damaging winds, and dangerous lightning. Additionally, heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding.
2 p.m. Radar Update: Most of the stronger storms have shifted into the Hill Country around Mason and Junction. Some small hail, gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rainfall are likely with these storms.
