SAN ANGELO, TX - The severe weather threat for today has increased from a “slight risk” to an “enhanced risk,” the National Weather Service reported.
A cold front will be moving south through San Angelo today, bringing slightly cooler temperatures for the Big Country and severe weather chances “for much of” San Angelo.
The highest chance for storms will be in the orange area (#3) pictured below.
With these storms, you could see "very large hail" (up to tennis ball size), damaging winds (60+ mph), and possibly isolated tornadoes.
There is a 30 percent chance of the storms happening early afternoon and into the evening.
