Blowing Dust & Wildfire Danger Monday

 

SAN ANGELO, Texas – West Central Texas faces elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions today, with gusty west winds at 20-25 mph and afternoon relative humidity below 25%. The week ahead anticipates warm and somewhat breezy conditions, heightening fire concerns particularly in western areas. After 1 pm, expect patchy blowing dust under sunny skies, with temperatures reaching around 70°F. Winds from the west-southwest will increase to 20-25 mph, gusting up to 40 mph.

Tonight, skies will be mostly clear with a low near 38°F. Breezy conditions persist with a west wind at 15-20 mph, shifting to the north at 5-10 mph after midnight. Gusts could reach up to 30 mph.

Tuesday brings increasing clouds and a high near 68°F. Winds will shift from east-northeast to west in the afternoon, ranging from 5-10 mph.

Tuesday night, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 45°F. Winds will transition from south-southwest to east-southeast at 5-10 mph.

Wednesday promises sunny conditions with a high near 72°F, accompanied by a west-southwest wind at 10-15 mph.
