Rain Returns Sunday Night

SAN ANGELO – Rain and cooler temperatures return to the Concho Valley late Sunday night into Monday morning with up to half an inch possible in Tom Green County.

National Weather Service meteorologists say a disturbance over Baja will move into the area early Monday bring showers and cooler weather.

The rain should move into the San Angelo and Brownwood area from the southwest starting around 10 p.m.  Rain totals should reach 1/2 an inch around Sonora and Eldorado with a few tenths of an inch in San Angelo.

There is a 50% chance of rain Sunday night and early Monday morning.  Showers will move out of the area around sunrise Monday.  Temperatures will be around 52 degrees Sunday night with a high Monday of 57 under cloudy skies.

No severe weather is expected.  The next chance for rain is about eight days away.
