Light Rain & Minor Street Flooding Through Thursday Evening

 

SAN ANGELO – Much needed rain is falling across the Concho Valley Thursday morning causing some minor street flooding which should continue into the evening hours.  

The National Weather Service office in San Angelo is reporting about .08 inches of rain as of 8 a.m. with light rain expected to fall consistently throughout the day.  Rainfall totals could reach up to an inch especially to the southeast of San Angelo.  

A cold front is moving down through the Concho Valley Thursday morning.  Temps at 7 a.m. were in the  lower 60s and beginning to fall as the wind shifts to the north with the passage of the front.  Look for temperatures to slowly drop to around 48 degrees by sunset.  It will be cloudy everyday through the weekend.  

Rain will taper off Thursday night.  Expect a low of 44 degrees with a cloudy and dry day Friday.  Friday's high temperature will reach 57 degrees. 

Expect dry conditions and seasonal temps through Monday then another cold front will bring rain chances back to the Concho Valley.
