SAN ANGELO – A line of strong thunderstorms with embedded heavy rain stretched from Mertzon to Christoval to Eldorado to the I-10 corridor early Monday morning.
Radar indicated a strong line of thunderstorms producing pea-sized hail and winds of 40 mph from the Irion-Schleicher-Tom Green Co. line moving southeast around 8 a.m. The storm system could impact Eldorado and Knickerbocker as well.
The thunderstorm activity is associate with a cold front that moved through the area early Monday which is forecast to cool temperatures a few degrees. Look for rain chances to end Monday afternoon.
Afternoon high temperatures will be in the 90s with overnight lows in the 60s this week.
There is no rain in the forecast after Monday.
