Break from the Heat Saturday Before the Mercury Rises Again

SAN ANGELO – Temperatures Saturday in the Concho Valley will be a few degrees cooler as a mild cold front moves into the Big Country before the heat returns Sunday afternoon.

Forecasters say the afternoon high Saturday in San Angelo could be below 100 degrees for the first time in ten days. Sunday's high will be back to around 104 requiring a return to Heat Advisories of Excessive Heat Warnings for the next seven days.

Temps in the upper 90s are still hot enough for concern.  Experts recommend drinking more water than beer while fishing or skiing or recreating on the water or anywhere outdoors.

Remember the kiddos and the pets as well.  Don't ever lock them in a car even if you're mad at them.  Send them outside with plenty of shade and fresh water and access to food, but don't lock them in a vehicle.  Ever.  That's a good way to make the front page of San Angelo LIVE!

There is no rain in the forecast until about mid August.
