NWS Issues Flood Advisory for San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a Flood Advisory in effect until 8:45 p.m. for Coke, Runnels and Tom Green Counties including the city of San Angelo.  

Doppler radar is indicating a strong thunderstorm over the area which has dropped up to 1.25 inches of rain Monday evening with another 1 inch possible.  The rain is falling on already saturated ground and minor flooding is occurring. 

Motorists are urged to drive carefully and never drive into water of an unknown depth.  This is an Advisory only and not a Warning.
