ALERT: Hail and Thunderstorms to Hit San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in Tom Green County.

According to the National Weather Service, on Mar. 7, 2023 at around 1:30, the severe thunderstorm  warning will last until 2:15. The warning is issued for Northeast Tom Green County and East Central Irion County.

The storm is moving at 30 mph northeast on US 67 near Tankersly. Thes storm will bring possible quarter sized hail. The NWS claim damage to vehicles is expected.

This severe thunderstorm will be near Knickerbocker around 140 PM CDT, Tankersley around 1:45 p.m., Twin Buttes Reservoir around 1:55 p.m., Lake Nasworthy around 2:05 p.m.,  O.C. Fisher Reservoir and San Angelo State Park around 2:10 p.m., San Angelo and Goodfellow Air Force Base around 2:15 p.m.
