Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Christoval

 

CHRISTOVAL – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southern Tom Green County including Christoval until 7:15 p.m. Sunday. 

According to the NWS, a storm cell has formed west of Christoval in Irion County and is moving east toward the town.  Radar indicates the storm cell has winds of 60 mph and hail up to 1/4 inch.  This is a dangerous storm and will continue to build after it moves east past Christoval.  

The storm is moving east at 30 mph and will be in the Christoval area around 7:15 p.m.  

This is a dangerous weather situation.  Storms like this are expected to continue to affect the area overnight.
