Wildfire Danger Advisory Issued for Northeastern Concho Valley

SAN ANGELO – Hot and dry conditions will continue to intensify across the Concho Valley Friday and Saturday as temperatures increase, humidity decreases and winds pick up.

According to meteorologists with the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, elevated wildfire conditions exist over the northeastern Concho Valley early Friday and will spread region wide by Saturday afternoon.

Gusty south to southwest winds will combine with very dry air and extremely fuel and low humidity to create elevated wildfire risk.

Officials have issued a Fire Weather Watch for Saturday afternoon for all of West Central Texas.

A Red Flag Warning may be issued for Saturday.  This is a developing weather situation.
