BASTROP, TX – The Rolling Pines wildfire near Bastrop has been contained, confirmed the Texas A&M Forest Service Thursday.
As previously reported, on Jan. 18, firefighters with the Texas A&M Forest Service were dispatched to a controlled burn at the Bastrop State Park that turned into a massive wildfire near Bastrop. For the original report see: Out-of-Control Bastrop Wildfire Threatens Homes in Previously Burned Area
In the original article the forest service confirmed act the fire was 783 acres and was 30% contained. Now crews have improved on those numbers.
